post-trip reality.

Nearly a month ago I was getting ready to leave on a 2 week trip to Maui for work. My job and the company I work for are the best of the best. I couldn't dream of a better work life and situation. At 24 (for not much longer), I feel truly blessed and lucky that I've found something so me. Could it even be real that I was headed to Maui for work and then for a vacation with Jacob? It was. I worked from early morning till night and loved every minute of it even though I was exhausted. Jacob joined me at the end of my work conference and we frolicked on the island and in the ocean and drank in the essence of Maui.

Now where does that leave me a few weeks later? Recovery mode. Adjusting time zones. Jumping right back into work. Working on apartment renovations to get things feeling homey. Preparing myself for our beautiful Frenchie girl who will be here in September. Trying to enjoy the warm summer weather (and dealing with the 60 degree cloudy days too).

I am finally back into my creative zone. I am working on lots of projects around this apartment and it is starting to show. Our excitement for our first dog is making our hearts swell. And I am so ready to share what my Maui trip meant to me. So buckle up. It's going to be quite the ride.
